The Welder is responsible for the welding of materials, parts and/or equipment per project schematics and drawings. Welders use detailed specifications to complete their role in a project’s construction and carefully inspect their work for imperfections and defects to ensure the structural integrity of their projects.

Work Experience Required

High School Diploma or equivalent

Two years’ experience in welding or a manufacturing environment or equivalent

Skills & Knowledge Required

Reads and understands blueprints

Must be able to pass an FCAW weld test in 3G position

GMAW, FCAW, GTAW experience preferred

Proficient in use of hand tools, such as hand torch, squares, level, tape measure, etc.

Has mathematical aptitude, including decimals and fractions
