Head of Operations, Managed Transportation

We’re a nationwide logistics partner, supporting organizations across the country with reliable and efficient transportation solutions.

We are seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee daily operations within a transportation and logistics network. This role is responsible for leading frontline employees, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring high-quality service delivery while meeting operational and financial performance goals.

Lead and develop a team of frontline employees through hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, performance management, and ongoing professional development.

Monitor operational performance by reviewing key metrics, observing daily activities, and providing coaching to drive service excellence and efficiency.

Conduct field observations to ensure adherence to safety standards, client expectations, and operational processes while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Maintain accurate operational data and ensure systems are updated to support efficient day‑to‑day operations.

Oversee fleet readiness by reviewing vehicle inspection records, coordinating maintenance and repairs with vendors, and maintaining service documentation.

Partner with the operations team on initiatives that enhance efficiency, improve processes, and elevate service quality.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.

1–3 years of progressive leadership or operations experience preferred.

Experience driving operational excellence through process improvement and quality management principles.

Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives.

Proven ability to develop strong customer relationships and effectively partner with key stakeholders.

Analytical, process-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving and continuous improvement skills.

Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team development skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other business applications.
