A Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) is a healthcare professional specialized in providing comprehensive medical care to individuals of all ages within a family unit. They serve as the primary point of contact for patients, managing a wide range of medical conditions, promoting preventive care, and addressing the diverse health needs of patients across the lifespan.
Patient Care - Conduct thorough medical examinations and assessments of patients. Health Promotion and Education - Educate patients on maintaining a healthy lifestyle and disease prevention. Discuss age-appropriate screenings and immunizations with patients.
Chronic Disease Management - Manage and monitor patients with chronic conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma. Family-Centered Care - Foster open communication to address family health concerns. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Record Keeping - Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients.
Coordinate care plans with other healthcare providers.
Emergency Care - Respond to medical emergencies and provide initial stabilization.
Community Engagement - Engage in community health initiatives and educational programs.
Medical Doctor degree or DO Degree from an accredited institution.

3 years residency training in Family Medicine.

Current unrestricted State Medical License.
Board certification in Family Medicine.
Commitment to continuing medical education and staying informed about advancements in family medicine.
The work schedule may include evenings and weekends to accommodate patient needs.

Advanced English is required.
Spanish and Creole are preferred.
Travel
Flexible to travel per business needs.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to work standing up, walk, use hands to operate tools and equipment and must be able to exert regularly up to 10 pounds of force, frequently exert 30 pounds of force and occasionally exert 50 pounds of force to constantly perform the essential job functions.
