Police Officers - Full-time and Part-time

Southern University at Shreveport Louisiana (SUSLA) is one of five campuses within the Southern University System , the nation's only historically Black university system. SUSLA serves approximately 3,180 undergraduate students and employs over 400 full- and part-time faculty and staff .
Drive , the university offers 33 undergraduate degree programs and awards approximately 350 degrees annually .
In addition to the main campus, SUSLA operates the Southern University at Shreveport Downtown Metro Center , which provides advanced allied health programs, and the Southern University at Shreveport Aerospace Technology Center located at the Shreveport Downtown Airport , home to FAA-approved aerospace technology and maintenance programs.
No experience or training is required. Willingness and ability to attain a Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification. An applicant who has been convicted of a felony or who is under indictment on a felony charge will be disqualified until relief from the disabilities imposed by state and federal laws is granted.
Job Duties: As a Police Officer, you will support a safe environment through proactive patrol, emergency response, and law enforcement. Provide foot or mobile security patrol and enforce parking regulations across five campus sites and an apartment complex.
Respond to emergencies and provide assistance as required through radio dispatch.
Maintain logs of radio, telephone, and teletype activity, and monitor alarm systems and other police radio frequencies.
Entry/Probationary Level to Experienced Patrol
