Description:
The position requires an RN with experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry.
Candidates must have an Alaskan RN license in hand for immediate offer.
This assignment is for a duration of 13 weeks.
The shift scheduled is three 12-hour night shifts.
Weekend coverage may be required more frequently than every other weekend.
The unit operates under a Co-Care/Virtual Nursing Model.
Each patient is supported by a bedside RN, a Virtual RN, and a CNA.
Patient ratios for bedside RN and CNA are 1:6.
The virtual nurse assists with tasks such as admission inquiries, discharge education, and care plans.
Clinical experience with patients suffering from various medical conditions is essential.
Surgical patients may have diagnoses related to colorectal, urological, or vascular issues.
The facility is a Magnet-designated Acute Care Client that also serves as a Level II Trauma Center.
Candidates should be prepared to float to other similar units as needed.
This role is ideal for candidates who are adaptable and have a strong foundation in nursing care.
