Working at Hilltop is a fantastic opportunity with lots of chances for growth, connection and team building. An overview of this position entailsThis position is responsible for preparing nutritional and attractive meals for residents at The Commons.
Demonstrate ethical and professional behavior that align with the values of Hilltop's Assisted living Communities (ALCs), including Service 1, how we treat each other, and Service 2, how we treat our residents. Complete basic meal specials, daily prep cooking duties, basic soups, sauces, and desserts from scratch and to the Food Service Manager's Specifications.
Prepare and plate meal orders utilizing proper food handling and presentation.
Follow all Mesa County and Colorado Department of Health regulations to proper food handling including proper hand washing, temperature logs, and sanitizing of food service equipment.
Ensure food and supplies are at correct temperature and condition when received. Rotate and stock supplies according to health codes and Food Service Manager's specifications.
Assist with catering duties as needed.
Assist with cleaning, sanitizing, and safely stores dishes, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, bus tubs, etc. Inspecting and maintaining proper chemicals for the dishwasher.
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); Certificates, Licenses & Registrations
Food Handler's Card (required)
Serve Safe Certification (preferred)
De-Escalation Training (preferred)

The starting wage range for this role is $17.85 to $18.74 per hour.
