Position Overview
The position is for a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) with a focus on providing high-quality patient care. This role involves monitoring patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring their comfort and safety, and collaborating with the medical team to optimize patient outcomes.
Shift Details
Schedule: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30)
On-Call Requirement: Yes, 100 hours
Weekend Requirement: Yes, on-call
Floating: Must be willing to float between units based on needs
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a relevant clinical setting preferred
Certifications: PALS, ACLS, BLS required
Patient Ratios: 1:2 expected ratios
Charting System: Experience with Epic is required

Patient Care Responsibilities
Conducting patient assessments and monitoring vital signs
Administering medications and intravenous (IV) therapies
Providing post-anesthesia care, including pain management
Assisting in the evaluation of patient needs and progress
Communicating effectively with patients and their families
Skills Required
End-Tidal CO2 monitoring
Airway assessment and management
Arterial line management
Central line care and management
Recovery management for various procedures including General, Orthopedic, and Neuro cases
Preparation and administration of medications as per protocol

Additional Information
This role requires a valid state license and a personal vehicle for transportation to various facilities as required. The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, is essential. Commitment to patient safety and quality care is paramount.
