Physical Therapist - DelawareACTIVELiricarePosted by Liri Care • 2 months agoLocation: Flexible | Home & Community-Based ABOUT THE ROLE We're hiring Physical Therapists to deliver early intervention services to infants and toddlers (birth to age 3) and their families across Delaware through the state's Birth to Three (B23) Early Intervention Program under IDEA Part C. This is not a clinic or hospital role. You'll be visiting families in their homes and community settings, including childcare centers, parks, and grandparents' homes, wherever the child moves and plays. Your work is grounded in the child's natural environment and daily routines, not a treatment table. Delaware's B23 program uses an evidence-based coaching model. Your primary role is to build family capacity, helping caregivers understand their child's motor development and embedding movement and mobility strategies into everyday routines. You are not just working with the child. You are equipping the family to support their child's physical development every hour you are not in the room. THE SETTING Services are delivered in natural environments as required under IDEA Part C, meaning the child's home, daycare, or community. You will carry a caseload across one or more Delaware counties, working alongside service coordinators and multidisciplinary EI teams to implement IFSPs (Individualized Family Service Plans). Health, dental, and vision insurance - Retirement savings with employer match - Annual professional development allowance - Sign-on and relocation bonuses (select candidates) - Free access to Liri AI tools and platform (valued at $1,500) WHAT YOU'LL DO - Deliver physical therapy services to infants and toddlers in home and community settings - Coach and support caregivers to embed movement, positioning, and mobility strategies into daily routines - Conduct PT evaluations and assessments to support IFSP development - Develop measurable IFSP goals aligned with family priorities and the child's motor development needs - Address gross motor skills, postural control, balance, gait, and functional mobility - Recommend and support use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices as appropriate - Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and IFSP reviews - Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with Delaware B23 and IDEA Part C requirements - Collaborate with service coordinators, OTs, SLPs, and other EI providers WHAT YOU'LL NEED - Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy - Active Delaware PT license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start) - Experience with pediatric populations, especially birth to 3, is a strong plus - Familiarity with IFSP processes and IDEA Part C is desirable but not required - Comfort with the coaching model and family-centered practice - Reliable transportation for home and community visits across Delaware - Strong communication, documentation, and independent practice skills ABOUT THIS WORK The first three years of life are the most critical window for motor development. What a child learns about moving, balancing, and exploring their environment in those early years shapes how they engage with the world for decades to come. As a B23 PT, you are not running repetitive exercise sessions in a gym. You are watching a child take their first steps in their own living room, coaching a parent on how to position their baby during bath time, and helping a toddler learn to navigate the backyard. You are part of a family's daily life in a way that clinic-based PT rarely allows. You will build real, ongoing relationships with families, see meaningful developmental progress, and do work that is genuinely hard to replicate in any other setting.
