Discover a career in banking at Fifth Third Bank. The Senior Wealth Strategist serves as the primary wealth strategy expert for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients and prospects (generally $15MM net worth) with complex financial needs. This role partners closely with Wealth Management Advisors (WMAs) and the broader Private Bank team to lead discovery, develop integrated wealth strategies, and support implementation. The role contributes directly to client acquisition, retention, and overall client experience through advanced planning expertise.

Client & Prospect Engagement: Partner with WMAs and Private Bank teams to acquire and retain key client relationships by delivering comprehensive wealth strategies and participating in client meetings.
Client Discovery & Analysis: Develop a detailed understanding of client financial profiles, including net worth, cash flow, ownership structures, estate plans, and charitable goals.
Wealth Strategy: Lead the development of customized wealth strategies across estate, income tax, gift and estate tax, investment, risk, insurance, and cash flow planning disciplines.
Identify planning opportunities, research complex strategies, and review financial modeling prepared by analysts to assess potential outcomes.
Coordinate preparation and review of client deliverables and provide oversight and guidance to analysts and junior strategists, , ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with planning recommendations.
Strategy Implementation: Present recommendations, answer client and advisor questions, and support execution of strategies in partnership with the broader team.
Coach and mentor Wealth Strategy Analysts and Wealth Strategists to support skill development and career growth.
Business Development & Partnerships: Contribute to internal and external thought leadership and maintain knowledge of legislative, regulatory, and market developments.
Risk & Compliance: Operate within the Bank’s risk framework and ensure adherence to policies and procedures while acting in the best interests of clients and colleagues.
Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, adapting to shifting priorities to support team and organizational objectives.
Bachelor’s degree required.
~10+ years of experience in financial, estate, or wealth planning within a professional services or wealth management environment.

Advanced knowledge across cash flow, income tax, gift and estate tax, investment, insurance, retirement, estate, and charitable planning.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to synthesize complex financial scenarios into actionable client strategies.

Senior Wealth StrategistTotal Base Pay Range 121,900.00 - 262,100.00 USD Annual At Fifth Third, we understand the importance of recognizing our employees for the role they play in improving the lives of our customers, communities and each other. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan, with any such payment based upon company, line of business and/or individual performance.
