The Director, Human Resources plays an integral role in the organization by providing full range HR support to our Dexter/MCE Division with manufacturing facilities in Elk Grove Village, IL and Torrance, CA. Serve as a strategic partner to the executive and plant leadership teams, developing and executing HR strategies aligned with overall business and operational objectives.

Partner with plant leadership to design and implement workforce plans that support production schedules, capacity planning, and long-term growth.

Lead organizational development initiatives, including talent management, succession planning, leadership development, performance management, and employee engagement, ensuring a strong and sustainable talent pipeline.

Drive talent acquisition strategy for hourly and salaried roles, collaborating with hiring managers to identify workforce needs, enhance selection processes, and deliver an effective onboarding experience.

Build a high-performance culture that empowers employees at all levels to contribute, grow, and perform at their best.

Coach and advise plant managers and frontline supervisors on leadership effectiveness, employee relations, performance management, and workforce engagement.

Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters, including investigations, reasonable accommodations, policy interpretation, and terminations, ensuring fair and consistent practices.

Lead safety partnership efforts in collaboration with operations, including OSHA compliance, workers' compensation management, return-to-work programs, and strengthening the overall safety culture.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage and hour regulations, attendance practices, and manufacturing-specific employment requirements.

Monitor and analyze key HR and workforce metrics (turnover, absenteeism, overtime, safety incidents, time-to-fill), leveraging data to drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement.

Identify and implement HR best practices and process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce non-value-added activities, and enhance employee experience.

Lead, develop, and mentor a team of HR professionals to deliver high-quality, responsive HR support to the organization.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; 8+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing or operational environment.

• Minimum 3 years of experience leading an HR function or HR team.
• Experience supporting multi-site operations preferred.
• This position may require access to ITAR-controlled technical data and services. S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or individual with protected status under U.S. immigration laws. Salary Range: $175,000-$190,000 + bonus
