Whether you're just starting your career or looking to grow in a new direction, you'll find opportunities to thrive, lead, and make a meaningful impact here.Duties & Responsibilities:The CMA/LPN is responsible for providing quality patient care under the direction of a physician or licensed healthcare provider in a clinical practiceThe role includes rooming patients, taking vitals and health history, documenting in an electronic medical record, giving injections, and assisting with minor proceduresThey maintain and review patient records, communicate plans of care, and may assist with scheduling appointments and referrals based on urgency and availabilityThe CMA/LPN also screens patients for appropriate information, provides patient education, observes and reports on patients' conditions, and administers prescribed treatments and tests as ordered by the physicianRoom patients and take vitals and health historyDocument in an electronic medical recordAssist with injections and minor proceduresMaintain and review patient records and communicate as appropriateMaintain exam room supplies and cleanliness of the patient care environmentRespond to and triage phone callsPrepare patients for physician exams and proceduresQualifications:LPN: Must be a licensed LPN in the state of SCCertified Medical Assistant (CMA): Medical Assistant certification by AAMA, NHA, AMT or NCCT is required. CMA must be a graduate of a post-secondary medical assisting education program accredited by the National Healthcare Association, or its successor; by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association, or its successor; by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools, or its successor; or by any accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education.
