ER Night and/or Weekend Shift Veterinarian

Emergency Veterinarian (ER) Corona Animal Emergency Center (CAEC) Location: Corona, CA (on-site)
Schedule: 3 shifts per week (12-hour ER shifts; mix of evenings, overnights, and weekends)

Compensation: $200,000 $350,000 per year (base + production)
Corona Animal Emergency Center (CAEC) is a dedicated, emergency-only hospital serving Corona, the Inland Empire, and surrounding communities. As an Emergency Veterinarian, youll lead the management of emergency and critical care casesfrom triage through discharge. Youll work alongside an experienced team of ER technicians and contribute to our continuous improvement through teaching, collaboration, and protocol development.
Rapidly triage, stabilize, and manage ER and urgent cases (trauma, GDV, toxicity, respiratory distress, HBC, hemoabdomen).
Perform essential ER procedures: Oversee anesthesia and pain management plans; interpret diagnostics including labs, radiographs, and ultrasound.
Maintain concise, accurate medical records.
Collaborate with nursing leadership to ensure patient flow and safety; Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) from an AVMA-accredited institution (or equivalent).
Active California veterinary license.
At least 1 year of small-animal ER/urgent care experience or completion of a rotating internship.
Surgical competency with common ER procedures or willingness to upskill with mentorship within 90180 days.
Availability for evenings, overnights, and weekend shifts (3 shifts per week).
Proficiency with AFAST/TFAST/Vet BLUE ultrasound.
Familiarity with transfusion medicine; Interest in mentoring technicians and new graduates.
