Merchandising Manager - Bedding Category
We are seeking an experienced Merchandising Manager to support and execute merchandising strategies for our bedding category. This role will be responsible for contributing to sales growth, maintaining profit margins, and ensuring optimal inventory management while staying aligned with current market trends and consumer preferences. The position will oversee bedding merchandising for specific stores/regions of corporately owned stores.
Category Management & Performance
Analyze category performance metrics and generate actionable reports for leadership
Recommend assortment optimizations based on sales data, market trends, and customer insights
Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with supply chain to ensure product availability
Manage and oversee bedding merchandising operations for assigned corporately owned stores/regions, ensuring consistent execution of merchandising standards and strategies.
Serve as point of contact for product vendors, building and maintaining strong partnerships
Conduct regular vendor business reviews to assess performance and identify opportunities
Partner with Learning & Development to create comprehensive product knowledge training content
Ensure sales teams are equipped with accurate, compelling product information and selling tools
Provide detailed product features, benefits, and technical specifications for marketing materials
Work with eCommerce and retail teams to optimize product presentation and messaging
Identify growth opportunities and emerging trends within assigned categories
Actively participate in departmental meetings, training and education. Assist with training other employees and providing backup.
Complete other assignments and special projects as requested.
Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Marketing, Business or related field or equivalent work experience, Required
5+ years of experience in Merchandising or Category Management, Required
Document management system
Handle multiple projects simultaneously within established time constraints
Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite, internet
Work professionally with customers and co-workers to efficiently serve our customers, treating both with enthusiasm and respect
Display empathy, understanding and patience with employees and external customers
Respond professionally in situations with difficult employee/vendor/customer issues or inquiries
This position will be required to travel frequently. (50% Travel)
Flexible and willing to work extended hours when necessary.
