Do you love dogs and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment? Camp Bow Wow Virginia Beach is calling all dog lovers to join our team as a Camp Counselor! Located in Virginia Beach, VA, we are a premier doggy daycare and boarding facility where tails wag, and smiles abound. Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

You MUST LOVE DOGS - the barks, the hair, the messes, and most importantly, the unconditional love and joy they bring!

As a Camp Counselor, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety, happiness, and well-being of our furry campers while delivering outstanding customer service. Dog Care & Monitoring
Evaluate dog behavior and interactions during initial screenings, monitor play yards for dogs of all sizes, and maintain constant attention to prevent scuffles or injuries.
Perform health checks, observe animal behavior, and assign dogs to appropriate play areas.

Keep our facility spotless by cleaning play yards, cabins, and common spaces. Assist with dog washes, nail trims, and other grooming needs. May be asked to assist with feeding dogs and administer medications.

Customer Service
Provide excellent customer service when interacting with pet parents.

Training & Safety
Complete Pet First Aid and Doggy CPR certification within 90 days of hire and attend additional training as needed.

Here are the qualities and skills we value most:

Exceptional customer service skills.

Ability to lift or push heavy items (dog food, supplies, carts, etc.).

Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Bonus Points :

Professional experience in a dog daycare, boarding facility, or as a vet tech, vet assistant, or dog trainer is highly desired.
