TELEMETRY GENERAL MEDICINE TRAVEL NURSE

Registered Nurse – Med Surg, travel assignment in Rochester, New York. Weekly pay: $2,172 to $2,300 per week. Shift: 12-hour shifts. This hospital-based travel position focuses on a unit serving adults (18+) with intensive symptom management needs and medical-surgical coverage needs, with telemetry experience not required.

• Contract duration: Shift: 12-hour shifts
• Hospital/unit-based travel assignment, with general medicine overflow support

Provide direct nursing care to adult patients on a palliative/med-surg unit, including symptom management and end-of-life care as needed.

• Perform comprehensive assessments, monitor vitals, administer medications, and manage IV therapy, wound care, and other standard med-surg tasks.
• Utilize patient-controlled analgesia pumps when applicable and collaborate with the care team to adjust plans based on patient response.
• Communicate and document patient status, develop and refine care plans, and coordinate with physicians, case managers, and other disciplines.
• Support families and patients in crisis, advocate for goals of care, and ensure continuity of care through discharge planning and transitions.
• Maintain safety, infection control practices, and regulatory compliance; Active New York State RN license
• Ability to work in a hospital travel assignment and manage care for patients with complex needs
