W e are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Chemist with a minimum of five years of experience in analytical and quality control testing. This role is responsible for performing routine and non-routine laboratory analyses to ensure products meet established quality standards and specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in analytical chemistry, experience operating laboratory instrumentation, and the ability to interpret data to support quality and continuous improvement initiatives.

Perform routine and non-routine laboratory testing to verify compliance with product specifications and quality standards.
Conduct physical, chemical, and analytical testing using a variety of laboratory instrumentation and techniques, including: Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Particle Size Analysis (laser diffraction and/or sieve analysis), Pour Point Testing, Flash Point Testing, Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA)
Execute testing in accordance with ASTM, ISO, and internal laboratory procedures.
Review, analyze, and interpret laboratory data to identify trends, deviations, and potential quality issues.
Prepare laboratory reports, certificates of analysis (COAs), and technical documentation with a high degree of accuracy.
Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results and participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
Perform calibration, verification, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure data integrity in accordance with quality system requirements.
Ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Participate in internal audits, continuous improvement initiatives, and quality system activities.
Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, technical, and customer service teams to resolve product quality concerns and support process improvements.

Minimum of five (5) years of laboratory experience in quality assurance, quality control, or analytical chemistry.
Strong knowledge of chemistry principles and analytical testing methodologies.
Experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation.
Working knowledge of ASTM testing methods and laboratory quality systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and documentation.
Experience with API 13A specifications and testing methodologies.
Experience testing drilling fluids, industrial minerals, petroleum products, or specialty chemicals.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and laboratory best practices.
Experience with laboratory method validation, proficiency testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.

Shift: Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM

37 - $40 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
