Paraeducator - School to Work - Full Time

ACAP is hiring full-time Teacher Assistants for 10-month positions in our preschool classrooms and year-round positions in our Early Head Start classrooms at our early childhood education centers in Albany County, New York.

Pay starts at $18.77 per hour; Monday through Friday with available schedules of 30-35 hours per week.
High School Diploma or High School Equivalent (GED) and a minimum of 1 year of experience in a preschool classroom, child care, daycare, or other early childhood education setting is required. An associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or associated field (at least 15 hours of ECE coursework) with a minimum of 1 year of experience is preferred. Bi- or Multi-lingual skills are a plus.
Help teachers plan and execute engaging, age-appropriate curriculum for preschool classrooms (children ages 3-5) or Early Head Start classrooms (infants and toddlers)
Assist with child education plans, assessments, progress notes, and other required documentation.
Help maintain a safe, healthy environment, ensuring adequate supervision in all indoor/outdoor activities and compliance with all safety and licensing standards.
Support relationship building with parents/guardians to ensure every child’s growth, development, and well-being are supported both in and out of the classroom.
