Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for patients with complex oncology needs.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs; anticipate and address discharge planning requirements.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop, update, and revise individualized plans of care, communicating relevant information to promote continuity of care.
Demonstrate competence in bedside point-of-care testing and apply healthcare organization standards, policies, and procedures in the delivery of patient care.
Participate in unit-level performance improvement activities, professional development, and cost-effective care initiatives.
Identify and address cultural, ethnic, and developmental factors affecting patient and family education and care planning.
Required Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of North Carolina.
Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing program.
Preferred Experience / Skills
BSN or MSN from an accredited nursing program.
ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy certification.
