Registered Nurse Emergency Department

Schedule

Patient ratios: 1:8. Weekend requirement varies. Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks.

Assignment Details

Contract length: 13 weeks.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years RN experience required.

Community hospital and trauma experience preferred.

Epic charting experience preferred.

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS.

Must have a Kansas and/or Missouri license or a compact license at the time of submission.

Responsibilities

Obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG.

Start and maintain IVs.

Administer and manage emergency medications.

Triage and manage acute medical and trauma presentations.

Manage behavioral health emergencies and pediatric emergencies.

Recognize basic dysrhythmias and have familiarity with intubation and airway support.

Compliance / Notes

Documents due 2 Fridays before start date. Pre-start training modules must be completed 1 week prior to start. RTO is a maximum of 7 days, finalized at submission.
