This is an integrated, multi-specialty MSL position spanning engagement with Pulmonology, Allergy, ENT, and Gastroenterology provider segments. The MSL will prioritize engagement based on local patient pathways, referral networks, scientific opportunity, and indication-expansion readiness.The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) serves as a primary scientific and clinical resource for Opinion Leaders (OLs), community healthcare providers, and Population Health Decision Makers (PHDMs). The role is responsible for executing Amgen Medical and product strategy, as directed by MSL and Medical Leadership, through the communication of accurate, balanced, and scientifically rigorous information intended to help improve patient outcomes.This is a field-based role with travel required and is part of the U.Medical team, reporting to an Inflammation Respiratory/GI MSL Director.Majority of time spent on peer-to-peer activities with Respiratory (Upper and Lower), Gastroenterology and conditions related to product indication expansion- interacting with Opinion Leaders, community healthcare providers, and PHDMs to discuss and advance the scientific platform as aligned with Amgen’s company goals and objectives.Role includes at least 60-70% travel for territory management/provider engagement, attendance at national and regional conferences/workshops and attendance at company meetings.Engage with clinical investigators and sites in support of the therapeutic area pipeline if indicated.Engage with PHDMs within territory health systems/clinics to communicate scientific based data of clinical value, outcomes, and economic data.Connect external and internal stakeholders to amplify Amgen’s reach and access for patients.Conduct in-depth scientific exchange to provide focused and balanced clinical and scientific information consistent with MSL compliance standards.Support Amgen sponsored research and may serve as a study lead.Liaise with potential investigators in non-sponsored clinical research.Provide and/or present field observations and insights to internal stakeholders to inform Amgen strategies.Support speaker training as requested and ensure the speakers are updated on new data.Lead and/or participate on project teams that support MSL strategies and tactics as delegated by MSL leadership.Compliantly partner across all Amgen field roles who share customers to create an appropriately coordinated One Amgen experience.MSLs support evidence-based scientific exchange that helps HCPs address unmet patient needs and care gaps.Execute all administrative responsibilities and training (e.g., Veeva/ALIGN CRM, expense reports, compliance modules, etc.) Maintain and improve clinical/scientific acumen and expertise with current data/information and healthcare trends.Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders and possess excellent communication skills to effectively communicate scientific data.We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. Basic Qualifications:Doctorate degreeORMaster’s degree & 3 years of Medical Affairs experienceORBachelor’s degree & 5 years of Medical Affairs experiencePreferred Qualifications:Pharm.other doctoral degrees considered)1+ years Medical Affairs experience4 or more years in a medically related field, including 1 year focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research.
