Contract NICU Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - 13 Weeks
This is a night shift position from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with rotating weekends. There are no call requirements for this role.
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated NICU Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a contract position. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional respiratory care to high-risk infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This role includes managing ventilator support, administering respiratory therapies, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Administer and monitor respiratory therapies, including nebulizers and oxygen therapy.
Manage ventilator support for neonates, ensuring adherence to protocols and standards.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and implement individualized care plans.
Perform regular assessments and maintain accurate patient records in the EMR.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Current RRT license and certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS.
Previous experience in a NICU setting is preferred.
Ability to effectively communicate and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
