Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Exciting Emergency Nurse Opportunity - Nights Job Description: - Work Schedule: - Nights: 7 PM - 7 AM - 36 hours/week - Holiday rotation: Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) - Every 3rd weekend - Unit Information: - 16 beds - Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:5 - Care for Trauma, Stroke, OB, and advanced cardiac patients - Requirements: - 24 months of current/recent ER experience (required) - Recent travel experience (highly preferred) - EPIC EMR experience (highly preferred) - Active Iowa/IA license or compact/multi-state at time of submission (required) - All certifications must be active: - BLS (AHA) - ACLS (AHA) - PALS (AHA) - TNCC (required) - De-Escalation Certificate (SAMA, MAB, MOAB, CPI) - (preferred, can be obtained during onboarding) - NIH Stroke Scale certificate (nice to have, can be obtained during onboarding) - Skills Checklist specific to ED/Emergency Department (required) - Professional Reference from a charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director/CNO/COO within the last 24 months (preferred) - Driver’s License (required) - Orientation Dates: - 9/21 - 9/28 Why BHS Workforce (BHS): At BHS, we connect dedicated nurses and allied health clinicians with the best assignments across the country.
