Half time Priest

SPC has a paid staff of four part-time employees, but an array of volunteers organized as committees who provide for the congregation’s needs. We will look to our incoming pastor to help encourage and inspire our volunteers in their current efforts, and to guide us in identifying, and most effectively and sustainably serving, our community in the name of Christ. We are seeking a part-time pastor for 20 hours per week. We are open to dual-career pastors and other flexible arrangements. The incoming pastor should:
Identify untapped spiritual gifts and talents, encouraging and expanding member participation
Mentor members to rise to service and leadership roles
Enthusiastically support and participate in outreach activities and community events
Worship Leadership: Prepare and deliver sermons weekly
Perform hospital and home visitations
Administration: Four office hours per week
Advise and collaborate with church committees
One on one counseling
Building Community: Network with local clergy and churches
Cultivate new members among recently retired/relocated families
