Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Emergency Room. This position provides direct patient care in a short-term acute care setting and supports patients across a broad range of emergency conditions. The registered nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care while collaborating with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
Job Details

Schedule: Day shifts, 312-hour shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., for a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of recent Emergency Department (ED) experience within the past 5 years, including experience in a Level II Trauma Center; Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications; electronic health record experience required; pending Washington state licensure may be accepted.
Preferred Qualifications: Charge nurse experience, travel nursing experience, at least 1 year of Epic experience, and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification or de-escalation training.
Responsibilities: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; document care in the healthcare record; direct and delegate care according to team members education, credentials, and demonstrated competence; and participate in ongoing professional education and development.
Additional Information: Patient assignments may include a 1:4 ratio. The role supports care for neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, including trauma, chest pain, abdominal pain, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease exacerbation, urinary tract infection, stroke, sepsis, and orthopedic injury cases. Clinical responsibilities may include triage, emergency medication administration, blood product administration, procedural sedation monitoring, management of ventilated patients, chest tube care, intravenous vasopressor management, dysrhythmia management, and care for behavioral health emergencies. Orientation is held biweekly on Mondays.
