MEDICAL SURGERY UROLOGY-GYNECOLOGY RN

Summa Health System - Akron Campus, previously known as Akron City Hospital, is located in downtown Akron and has achieved national recognition as a provider of quality, compassionate healthcare.This 36-bed medical/surgical unit will provide 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, nursing care to all patients from adolescents (17 years and older) to geriatric who require hospitalization or nursing intervention. The primary focus is on patients with general and/or surgical needs in the areas of General Surgery, colorectal surgery, general abdominal surgeries, mastectomy, thyroidectomy, Urology, Women's Health, Gynecology, Uro-Gyn, Gyn oncology, plastics, ENT, trauma, cardiothoracic, orthopedic, spinal/neuro overflow. The unit also provides care for women experiencing obstetrical issues such as intra-uterine fetal demise, preeclampsia mothers, hyperemesis, pregnant women experiencing substance abuse withdrawal, and diabetic pregnancies. We are looking for a strong nurse who understands that they may be getting different patients throughout their shift in a very fast-paced environment.

Registered Nurse, MS SSN Required DOB Required copy of drivers license need 2 yrs surgical tele unit experience work history must reflect in equipment and procedures section : EPIC skills and Phlebotomy skills starting IV's nursing degree accredited by ACEN or CCNE ( city and state) flexibility to work dates posted on the order and schedule per unit needs, no block shifts allowed. and not within 1st two weeks of contract
