Job Description
Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Schedule
Shift hours: 7a-7p rotating with 7p-7a; 13 weeks contract. Weekend requirement: every other weekend. Holiday requirement: must be available to work every other holiday if needed. No on-call requirement.
Assignment Details
Must submit requests for RTO, block, and special scheduling upon submission. The facility may cancel up to three shifts during a 13-week contract period without incurring charges for the canceled hours.
Requirements
Active New York Single State RN license (pending licenses not accepted).
Required certifications: OB-ACLS or ACLS, BLS, EFM certification, NRP.
EPIC experience required; experience with CPN/GE Centricity also considered.
Must be able to assist with vaginal delivery, C-section circulation, postpartum recovery, and management of medications such as Magnesium Sulfate and Pitocin.
Experience with fetal monitoring and care of newborns, including the use of radiant warmers and thermoregulation.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive care to pregnant patients at any gestational age.
Conduct triage for pregnant and postpartum patients.
Perform assessments and interventions for various obstetric complications.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to support family-centered births.
Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
