Endoscopy Gastroenterology Physician

Med Ninjas is seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens opportunity at an acute care hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia .
This is a 6-month assignment beginning October 1, 2026 , with clinic and call coverage. The facility needs approximately 2 to 3 weeks of coverage per month and may consider multiple providers.

Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
Start Date: October 1, 2026
Contract Length: 6 months
Schedule: Clinic plus call coverage
Coverage Needed: Approximately 2 to 3 weeks per month
Practice Setting: Acute care hospital
Trauma Designation: Level IV
Hospital Size: 189 beds
EMR: Cerner
Patient Volume:
Endoscopy center: Approximately 12 to 20 procedures per day
Clinic: Usually 10 to 12 patients per day

~ Travel and lodging: Provided according to facility guidelines

Required Skills and Procedures The physician must be comfortable performing:

General Gastroenterology procedures
Endoscopy

ERCP

EUS

Requirements
Board Certified in Gastroenterology
Active West Virginia license or IMLC eligibility
Active DEA

BLS

ACLS

Ability to provide clinic and call coverage
The facility is willing to consider licensing candidates, including physicians eligible through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact . Estimated credentialing time is approximately 60 days .
