CNA/HHA Private Duty Senior Care Work

Good caregivers need a schedule that works. Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring CNAs and HHAs for one on one home care throughout St Johns County, Jacksonville, and surrounding areas. We work to match caregivers with clients based on your availability, skills, client needs, and reasonable travel distance.

Our client schedules change as our agency grows and new clients begin care. Opportunities may include: part time work, full time work, weekday shifts, weekend shifts, day and evening shifts, some overnight shifts, four hour minimum shifts, eight hour and twelve hour shifts when available, overtime opportunities when available.

Most client cases pay $17 to $18+ per hour. Some cases may pay more depending on the client's needs, schedule, location, and level of care.

W2 employment instead of contractor work, payroll taxes handled by the agency, same day pay access through TapCheck, direct deposit, referral bonuses, mileage reimbursement between same day client visits, flexible scheduling, one on one client care, support when questions or problems come up, clear information about your client before starting a case.

You will help seniors and adults remain safe and comfortable in their own homes. Your work may include: bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting, transfers and mobility help, meal preparation, medication reminders, companionship and conversation, light housekeeping for the client, help with errands or appointments, reporting changes or concerns to the office. Our clients include seniors, disabled adults, military veterans, people recovering from illness or surgery, and people who need companionship or personal care.

The caregivers who do best with us are caring and dependable. You should be comfortable working independently in a client's home and communicating with the office when you need help. When you accept a shift, your client is counting on you.

You must have: active Florida CNA license or HHA certificate, Level Two Background Screening, recent TB screening, classroom CPR certification, HIV AIDS training, Alzheimers and Related Dementias training, Assistance with Self Administration of Medication training, reliable transportation to client homes, caregiving experience, strong communication skills, comfort around pets is preferred.
