Tryfacta is seeking a Registered Nurse for our client in Elmira NY 14901 . This is a 2-year contract assignment. Position Title: Registered Nurse
Administer prescribed medications to psychiatric patients.
Perform comprehensive physical and mental health assessments.
Monitor patient status and document findings accurately.
Provide shift oversight and clinical guidance to Mental Health Therapy Aides.
Serve as the Shift Charge Nurse and coordinate nursing activities.
Orient and mentor new nursing staff.
Ensure compliance with Office of Mental Health (OMH) policies and nursing standards.
Current, unrestricted New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
New York State Mandated Reporter Training certification.
Experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, or mental health nursing preferred.
Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Ability to successfully complete required background checks and meet vaccination requirements (MMR, PPD, and seasonal influenza).
Willingness to complete required Office of Mental Health (OMH) onboarding, including TRUST verbal de-escalation and restraint training.
