Job Summary

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) primarily responsible for providing safe, patient-centered care to adult and geriatric patients. The role involves floating between various Medical/Surgical Intermediate and PCU departments, with responsibilities including interpreting dysrhythmias, management of post-cardiac procedure patients, and responding to emergent cardiovascular events. The position offers a dynamic work environment across multiple units within the organization.

Job Details

Position Description: Can accept for 36 or 48 hours; Ratios: 1:5; 1 to 2 Years of experience required; First-timers accepted; Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments as needed; Will float between approximately five units, including Medical/Surgical Intermediate and PCU departments, floating to other metro campuses as needed.

Certifications Required: BLS, NIHSS; Preferred certifications include ACLS.

Work Settings: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown, Pre/Post Cardiac Catheterization; Skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, cardiac telemetry, sheath removal, feeding tube care and management, blood product administration, and central line care.

Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.

Additional Requirements: Virtual Nurses, 12 lead EKG, AirVo, Voalte, Omnicell; a maximum of 7 days RTO allowed; no local candidates within 75 miles accepted; pending license accepted; floating between departments and facilities may be required.
