Phlebotomist - Full- or Part-Time

Three Trails Behavioral Hospital in the area of Independence, MO and we are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time Phlebotomist to join our clinical team. This role is responsible for obtaining high-quality blood specimens while ensuring patient comfort and safety in a behavioral health setting.

The Groundbreaking for the new hospital was held in January 2025. The facility is expected to open in the second half of 2026.
The Phlebotomist will:
Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws accurately and efficiently
Maintain strict adherence to infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines
Prepare and transport specimens to the appropriate laboratoryMonitor patients during and after collection to ensure comfort and safety
Maintain and stock phlebotomy supplies and equipment
Accurately document procedures in the electronic health record (EHR)
Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to support patient care
Three Trails Behavioral Hospital will:
Serve children and adolescents, adults and seniors with innovative and evidence-based inpatient behavioral healthcare focused on individual needs and comfort.
Create more than 200 new, full-time jobs including nurses, clinicians, therapists, technicians and administrative staff, when the facility is fully operational.
Be located at the intersection of I-70 and Little Blue Parkway, adjacent to the Children's Mercy Hospital Outpatient Clinics.

Completion of a phlebotomy training program required
Phlebotomy certification (CPT, PBT, or equivalent) preferred
Minimum of 1-2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred
Experience in a healthcare or behavioral health setting is a plus
