This position is ECB status - requires a minimum number of worked hours per month as needed by the department; limited benefit offerings.

Shift: This position would include 1-2 weekend days per month plus weekdays if desired.

Job Summary
Provides clinical patient care by initiating and administering appropriate treatment, progressing patient treatment as appropriate, and carrying patient load that reflects productivity standards.

Evaluates patients accurately, plans appropriate treatment, sets and meets functional goals, and revises and progresses the treatment program as goals are met.

Provides instruction (teaching) to patients and/or family members as well as other healthcare providers.

Minimum Education
Graduation from an accredited school of Physical Therapy.

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification
Valid State of Oklahoma Licensure or Temporary Letter of Authorization to practice Physical Therapy.

Work Experience
0 - 6 months related experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Effectively present information and respond to questions from patients and families.

Read, analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Use computers and basic computer knowledge for data input and reporting.

Employ effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

Apply reasoning ability and adapt to changing circumstances.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Initiate, administer, and progress appropriate treatment while carrying a patient load that meets productivity standards.

Evaluate patients accurately, plan treatment, set functional goals, revise and advance treatment programs, and provide documentation by maintaining accurate treatment records.

Complete accurate daily patient charges, ensuring the same‑day completion of documents and accurate reflection of time spent, procedures performed, and equipment used.

Maintain technical expertise through attendance and participation in continuing education activities, departmental in‑services, and staying abreast of technical advances.

Attend 90% of scheduled in‑services and departmental meetings, patient/family sessions.

Provide instruction to patients, family members, and other healthcare providers.

Follow care‑path guidelines for patient/family education and documentation of home programs.

Follow set guidelines for daily operations and assist the in‑charge therapist with daily responsibilities as appropriate.

Schedule and prioritize daily work assignments; delegate patients to RPTA or other support personnel as appropriate.

Assist with PT observers, volunteers, and students as requested by the in‑charge therapist.

Assist in training new PT employees.

Carrying out non‑routine procedures under continuously changing conditions, in conformance with general instructions from supervisor.

Coordinates activities of others (does not supervise); leads others in same work performed (does not supervise); has input on performance evaluations but does not prepare or give; works directly with patients and/or customers; works with internal and external customers via telephone or face‑to‑face interaction; collaborates with other healthcare professionals and staff.
