We are looking for you!!!Compensation: $18.00 an hour - paid weeklyShift Available: Nights 7:50pm to 8am 2-2-3 scheduleJob Overview: The Material Handler is responsible for the efficient flow of materials and supplies required for blown film production. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to handle delicate materials, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:Safely and efficiently loading and unloading raw materials, such as plastic resins, additives, and colorants, into appropriate storage areas or production equipmentInspecting incoming materials for quality, verifying quantities, and reporting any discrepancies or damageStoring raw materials, supplies, and finished products in designated locations within the warehouse, ensuring proper organization and efficient use of spaceRetrieving and delivering materials, supplies, and finished products to the appropriate production areas or workstations in a timely mannerAssisting in the setup and preparation of materials and supplies for blown film production, following production orders or instructionsMonitoring inventory levels and reporting shortages or excesses to the appropriate personnel.Operating material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and in accordance with company policies and proceduresMaintain inventory of gaylord boxes and dumps in box filterEnsuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining a clean and organized work area.Assisting in the maintenance and cleanliness of material handling equipment, reporting any malfunctions or damage to supervisorsCollaborating effectively with supervisors, machine operators, and cross-functional teams to ensure efficient material flow and resolve any material-related issues or concerns.Keep the work area clean and organized, including proper disposal of packaging materialsOther essential duties as assignedCandidate Requirements:High school diploma or equivalentExperience as a Material Handler, preferably in manufacturing or a similar environment, is preferredForklift certified and experience operating other material handling equipmentUnderstanding of blown film production processes and the materials involved, including plastic resins, additives, and colorantsPhysical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasksAttention to detail and the ability to accurately count, measure, and inspect materials and suppliesBasic math skills for counting, measuring, and calculating quantitiesExcellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholdersBasic computer literacy for data entry, reporting, and inventory management
