Fireye provides combustion and detection fire safety solutions that protect people and property.
The Test Development Engineer will ensure the quality of Fireye products via Test Equipment Design, improvements, calibration, and maintenance. The Test Development Engineer will also aid quality and manufacturing engineers in the Root Cause Analysis, mistake proofing, and defect prevention efforts.

The Test Development Engineer position reports directly to the Senior Manager of Quality Assurance, Operations Engineering and EH&S and will interact directly with Operations, Quality, Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineers, Supply Chain and Finance to achieve the desired outcome; Design and Debug Test Equipment for Manufacturing / Operations
Develop Test Plans and Equipment for existing products and new products with inputs from Design / Hardware Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering, Validation Engineering and Product Managers
Maintain current production test equipment
Support New Test Equipment strategies with New Products and Manufacturing Engineering
Provide technical support to Quality, Manufacturing and Engineering on a variety of tasks
Maintain and / or create proper documentation for existing and new developed test equipment
Conduct Preventive Maintenance, soldering, wiring and setup of test equipment and fixtures as required to improve testing and / or correct false failures
Communicate and drive improvements with the Quality Assurance group
BS in Electrical Engineering or upcoming college degree
Proficient in use and operation of electronic tools/equipment such as oscilloscopes, power
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel software
Demonstrated ability interpreting engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and procedures
