New Grad Registered Nurse Surgery Full Time Evenings

HealthONE is seeking compassionate and motivated New Grad Registered Nurses to join our Registered Nurse Residency in the Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this full-time role, you will begin your nursing career in an environment that blends cutting-edge medical technology with a strong focus on safety, teamwork, and clinical excellence. Under the guidance of experienced preceptors, clinical educators, and nursing leaders, you will participate in a combination of classroom education, simulation labs, and progressively independent bedside practice. The residency curriculum is designed to build your confidence and competence in core nursing skills, critical thinking, and effective communication with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

As a New Grad RN Resident, you will provide direct patient care by performing comprehensive and focused assessments, monitoring changes in patient status, and implementing evidence-based interventions. You will administer medications and treatments safely, document your care accurately in the electronic health record, and collaborate closely with physicians and other clinicians to develop individualized plans of care. You will be encouraged to ask questions, seek feedback, and actively participate in debriefs and learning sessions that support your growth.

You will be involved in patient and family education on diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care, reinforcing our commitment to comprehensive, continuous care beyond the hospital stay. You will also contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives that help advance best practices throughout the organization.

Within the residency, you will explore various clinical specialties based on organizational needs and your interests, such as medical-surgical, telemetry, critical care step-down, emergency, or women’s and children’s services. This position typically involves a combination of day, evening, and night shifts, which may include weekends and holidays, to ensure 24/7 coverage for our patients. While many responsibilities are performed at the bedside in our Denver-area facilities, certain educational sessions, documentation, and training components may be completed in flexible or remote formats, reflecting our innovative approach to learning and collaboration.
