Advanced Dialysis Registered Nurse

Role: A Registered Professional Dialysis Nurse responsible for delivering safe, high-quality dialysis care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

Develops and implements individualized care plans for each patient, including pre- and post-treatment assessments and medication administration.

Operates dialysis equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring resource stewardship and proper documentation of patient outcomes and resource use.

Performs patient assessments such as vital signs, fluid status, and access care; obtains lab specimens; monitors and manages dialysis treatments, emergencies, and complications.

Administers medications and manages patient transport to maintain treatment schedules.

Ensures equipment safety checks, maintains accurate documentation, and manages billing entries.

Participates in developing patient care plans and adheres to organizational policies and safety protocols.

Qualifications & Skills

Associate’s degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.

RN license in the relevant state; BLS certification required, ACLS and PALS as applicable.

One year of dialysis or acute clinical nursing experience preferred, with ICU, CCU, ER, or Med Surg background advantageous.

Strong clinical skills, attention to detail, resource management, and effective communication.

Perform other assigned tasks, ensure timely patient transport, and maintain compliance with organizational policies.
