Head of Project Management

Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution

Serve as the single point of accountability to the client for project delivery.
Lead all phases of project management including concept development, estimating, proposals, and execution to ensure successful project completion.
Handle full project lifecycle management - from sales and estimating to procurement and final installation.
Coordinate field labor and installation schedules with field leadership and client teams.
Monitor job performance with attention to budget, schedule, and quality standards.
Financial Oversight

Forecast project costs and develop budget projections; manage financial performance within established parameters.
Prepare written documentation such as proposals, contracts, change orders, memos, and reports that support effective business practices and risk mitigation.
Ensure proper billing and awareness of job cost structures.
Client & Team Relations

Cultivate strong external relationships through effective communication, leadership in client meetings, and contract negotiations.
Maintain collaborative internal partnerships across departments including Engineering, Purchasing, Construction, Service, and Accounting.
Coordinate cross-functional support to meet client requirements at each stage of the project.
Communication & Collaboration

Facilitate internal project kickoff and coordination meetings.
Attend regular sales, project management, and construction meetings.
Collaborate closely with leadership and department heads for project alignment.
Mentorship & Development

Act as a mentor to junior team members as assigned.
Participate in recruiting, training, and development of sales and project staff.
Additional Duties

Contribute to special projects, initiatives, or committees to improve technical capabilities or internal processes.
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership to support departmental and organizational goals.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating, design, or project management for HVAC or Plumbing projects ranging from $50,000 to $25 million+.
Proven ability to work independently and make strategic decisions aligned with leadership goals.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple issues in a dynamic environment.
Demonstrated success in business development or expanding client relationships.
Commitment to integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Active involvement in industry or community organizations is a plus.
