RN Trillium Center Part-Time

The Detox Recovery Unit is a 15-bed acute medical detox unit for patients with a primary Chemical Dependency diagnosis. The Detox Recovery Unit program specializes in adult detoxification and treatment for ages 18 and above. Performs care requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgement and nursing skills based upon the principles of psychological, biological, physical, and social sciences in the application of the nursing process. Utilizes high-level assessment skills to design and ensure multidisciplinary patient care to meet holistic needs, incorporating established practice guidelines and regulatory standards. Must possess ability to supervise LPNs, CNAs, MHTs, Unit Secretaries, and Clinical students. Complete and document initial and ongoing patient assessments.

Document changes in patient condition and critical events.

Develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care each shift.

Initiate and participate in discharge planning using hospital and community resources.

Communicate patient status clearly with physicians, peers, and supervisors.

Document care accurately according to policies and procedures.

Demonstrate knowledge of quality improvement practices to improve patient outcomes.

Provide care in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and physician orders.

Perform nursing procedures safely and respond appropriately to emergencies.

Organize workload effectively and prioritize patient care.

Participate in staff orientation, training, and professional development.

Current RN licensure and work permit in Kentucky.

Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.

New employees requiring CPR-Basic Life Support (BLS)-American Heart Association should receive (CPR) training within the first week of orientation.
