Job description
Cashier / Host is a guest-facing position responsible for greeting guests, managing seating, handling payments, and ensuring a positive and smooth dining experience. This role is a key part of the Front of House (FOH) team and represents the restaurant’s first and last point of contact with guests.
Key Responsibilities
Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner
Manage guest seating, waitlists, and reservations
Process cash, credit card, and digital payments accurately
Answer guest questions regarding the menu and restaurant policies
Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
Handle takeout and delivery orders when needed
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area
Resolve guest concerns politely and escalate issues when necessary
Follow all company policies, safety, and sanitation standards
Work Experience
Prior experience in a restaurant, cashier, or customer service role preferred
Experience with POS systems is a plus, but training will be provided
Experience in a fast-paced environment is helpful
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
No formal education required
Skills & Qualifications
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Friendly, professional, and positive attitude
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling payments
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Reliable, punctual, and responsible
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light items if needed
Authorization to work in the United States
