In this exciting full-time position during the first shift at a vibrant community hospital nestled in the heart of Portland, you will play a key role in delivering critical diagnostic outcomes. Conduct both standard and advanced laboratory tests in areas like chemistry, hematology, and immunology while following established protocols.
Review results for accuracy, address any discrepancies, and carry out routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
Assist in specimen collection and prepare samples for various tests as required.
Thoroughly document all laboratory procedures, mentor new employees or students, and help maintain high laboratory quality standards.
Ensure a tidy, safe working environment while adhering to regulatory and accreditation standards.
Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science or an equivalent allied health field, along with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS), to be obtained within the first year of employment.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams.
Outstanding organizational skills and a keen eye for detail, particularly in quality control and thorough documentation.
