Advanced Practice Nurse, Medicine Nephrology

We are seeking a Registered Nurse with exceptional IV skills who would enjoy working in a clinic setting administering atypical infusions in our Outpatient Multispecialty Clinic. Our specialties include, but are not limited to, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Gastroenterology, Rheumatology and Bone & Mineral. Our infusion nurses provide direct care to patients receiving infusions such as Iron, Remicade, Aranesp, Entyvio, Reclast, and perform Lipid Apheresis. The primary responsibilities are starting line access, mixing and preparing medication and monitoring patients during their outpatient infusion.

Maintains a working relationship with colleagues and all essential external contacts to promote adequate and appropriate care for patients and high level of service to internal and external physicians.
Follows SBAR (situation-background-assessment-recommendation) communication with the medical team.
Works with clinical nurse coordinators and physicians on development and selection of appropriate patient interventions.
Demonstrates appropriate interpersonal relationships with supervisors, co-workers, physicians and employees of other departments. Planning and Organization

Work Experience:
No specific work experience is required for this position.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Current RN Licensure in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois, depending on work location, in accordance with Compact Act.
Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements.

Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
