Join the team that's been setting the standard for compassionate, innovative healthcare for nearly 50 years.Job Summary: The EmPATH Unit Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care to individuals experiencing acute psychiatric or behavioral health crises. Utilizing the nursing process, the RN independently assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members. The nurse supports a trauma-informed, recovery-oriented environment, promoting stabilization and emotional healing. This role requires adherence to all hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practices in mental health and emergency care, while maintaining a strong focus on patient safety, dignity, and therapeutic engagement.What You'll Bring to the Team: Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills Critical thinking skills Problem solving skills Basic computer skills Licensure and Certification: Current California RN license Current BLS provider card Workplace violence/de-escalation training required Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing certification preferred Additional Licensure and Certification: LAC DMH LPS Evaluator & Allied Health Credentialed Professional required within 6 months of hire Education: Associate's degree in Nursing (ASN) required Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred Experience: Minimum (2) years psychiatric acute care experience preferred Minimum (1) year acute hospital experience preferred
