LPN - Physician Clinic- Full Time

LPN Position In Tupelo, MSSpecialty Orthopedic Group is currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our clinic primarily in Tupelo, MS. This position will be Monday-Friday, full time. The schedule will include 2-3 very fast-paced clinic days with the remaining as office days. Candidate must be willing to commute to other clinics as needed with mileage to be reimbursed at the standard rate set by the IRS.The LPN provides basic medical care to patients in an orthopedic clinic; maintains standards of professional nursing practice in accordance with clinic policy and procedures; provides for the safe and efficient dispensing of doses of medication to patients consistent with the organization's procedure and as ordered by the Physician; Must be proficient on computer, scheduling, and have excellent phone etiquette.Works under the supervision of Provider and maintains practical nursing professional standards of careCharts in notes accurately and in a timely manner, documents provided, maintain appropriate records related to patient's progress and activities accurately and in a timely mannerInterviews patients and documents basic medical historyOrganizes and schedules appointmentsChecks with patients and types up patients chartsProduces and distributes correspondence memos, letters, faxes and formsReturns patient callsPerforms other duties as assignedJob Qualifications:1 year orthopedic experience preferredTraining or experience treating patients in a clinical settingCooperative work attitude toward co-employees, management, patients, visitors, and physiciansAbility to promote favorable clinic image with physicians, patients, insurance companies, and general publicActive LPN license in Mississippi (required)
