TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Cardiac Stepdown RN in Omaha, Nebraska, 68124!

Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Stepdown / CVU
Contract | Nights | Onsite | Shifts: 6:30 AM–7:00 PM / 6:30 PM–7:00 AM | Every other weekend required
Provide intermediate-level cardiac and vascular nursing care for a patient population including CVAs, CHF, A-fib RVR, post-surgical cardiac patients, and downgraded CVICU patients
Read and interpret telemetry strips independently; unit utilizes hardwired and telebox monitoring with remote tele tech support
Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4, adjusting to 1:3 for post-surgical patients within the first 24 hours
Float to units of same or lower acuity as needed
Active RN licensure in good standing
Must successfully pass a unit orientation exam with a minimum score of 90%
Artificial nails are prohibited; compliance with facility fingernail policy is required
Experience supporting thoracic surgery, electrophysiology, or structural heart programs
Familiarity with BiPAP and CPAP respiratory support equipment
Prior experience reading and interpreting cardiac telemetry independently
Work within a well-supported unit featuring 24/7 hospitalist, intensivist, and respiratory therapy coverage, with cardiology available on call after hours
Orientation is tailored to your experience level, offering a smooth transition onto the unit
