Travel Nursing Job Details
Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)

Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,550-$1,630

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Schedule: 4 shifts per week; 12-hour shifts from 1:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

Patient Population: Infants, adolescents, adults, pediatric, and geriatric patients

Approximately 165 daily visits in a 49-room Emergency Department

Charting System: Epic electronic health record (EHR)

Weekend coverage is required. Floating to units of equal or lesser acuity, and potentially to the ICU, is required.

Emergency Department RN Job Requirements
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas or a valid compact-state license in hand at the time of submission

At least 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience

Experience with Epic or another electronic health record system

Ability to provide emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan in a fast-paced setting

Comfort with weekend coverage, floating, and a 36- or 48-hour workweek

Emergency Department Registered Nurse Responsibilities
Deliver timely, evidence-based nursing care to emergency patients from infancy through geriatrics

Perform focused assessments, triage, ongoing monitoring, and reassessments based on patient acuity

Provide care for ventilated patients and manage central lines according to established protocols

Apply appropriate isolation precautions and personal protective equipment practices

Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Epic

Collaborate with physicians, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, rapid response teams, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team

Float to units of equal or lesser acuity, with potential ICU assignment, as directed by department needs

Support safe, efficient patient flow while maintaining patient dignity and quality standards
