Obstetrician / Gynecology ( OB / GYN )

Indiana University Health Physicians and the Indiana University School of Medicine are seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN Laborists to join our dedicated women's health teams throughout Indiana. This is a unique opportunity to focus on inpatient obstetric care in a collaborative, academic-based environment committed to clinical excellence, education, and innovation.

Position Highlights:

• Hospital-Based Laborist Model: Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in busy labor and delivery units. Provide obstetric triage, manage laboring patients, and perform deliveries and obstetric surgeries.
• Collaborative Care Environment: Work alongside OB/GYN generalists, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, anesthesiologists, nurses, and residents in a supportive and team-based setting.
• Shift-Based Scheduling: Enjoy predictable shift work designed to support a healthy work-life balance.
• Academic Role: Faculty appointment through the IU School of Medicine with opportunities to teach medical students and OB/GYN residents during clinical shifts.
• Focus on Safety & Quality: Participate in initiatives aimed at improving obstetric safety, quality outcomes, and evidence-based labor management.
• Dual Employment: Full-time positions with IU Health Physicians and the Indiana University School of Medicine.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency program
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Indiana
• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Open to new graduates and experienced providers with a strong interest in inpatient obstetrics
