Dental Director (Part-Time, 34 Days per Week)Good Samaritan Center Fredericksburg, TexasThe Good Samaritan Center is a nonprofit charitable clinic providing primary medical, dental, and mental health services to uninsured and low-income residents of the Texas Hill Country. Our mission is to ensure that every patient has access to compassionate, high-quality healthcare regardless of their ability to pay.We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Dental Director to lead our dental program three to four days per week (MondayThursday). This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in an underserved community while practicing in a supportive, mission-driven environment that values quality of care over production goals.About Our Dental ClinicOur dental services focus on providing essential oral healthcare, including:* Preventive care and dental cleanings* Restorative treatment (fillings)* Extractions not requiring general anesthesiaOur practice is designed to meet the everyday dental needs of our patients and does not include complex specialty procedures.Position ResponsibilitiesThe Dental Director provides both clinical care and leadership for the dental program. Providing comprehensive dental treatment within the scope of the clinics services.* Supervising and supporting the dental team, including two dental assistants and one dental hygienist.* Coordinating with volunteer dentists and dental hygienists to ensure an efficient and welcoming clinical environment.* Serving as the clinics Radiation Safety Officer and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.* Overseeing maintenance of dental equipment and coordinating repairs as needed.* Managing dental inventory and ensuring adequate supplies are available for daily operations.* Helping maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and quality throughout the dental clinic.Because we serve uninsured and low-income patients, compensation is provided on an hourly basis rather than through production or collections. Instead, our providers have the time and support to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a collaborative environment dedicated to improving the health of our community.
