Job TitleAssist the Chief Nurse Anesthetist and the Chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology in meeting the goals and objectives of the department.Essential ResponsibilitiesAssesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the anesthetic management for all patients presenting for anesthesia care.Assumes all duties of the Chief Nurse Anesthetist during his/her absence from the unit.Establishes effective interpersonal relationships and communication with interdisciplinary perioperative teams.Demonstrates effective leadership and is responsible for ongoing professional growth and development.Adheres to the legal and ethical standards of nursing and of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.Contributes to department, division and hospital goals.QualificationsMinimumCurrent State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).Certification as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists3 years clinical experienceAdditional Employment Requirements:CPR – American Heart AssociationAct 34 Criminal Background Clearance CertificateAct 33 Child Abuse Clearance CertificateAct 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance CertificatePediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association.Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association
