Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and 7:00 PM start times available) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit managing approximately 130 births per month, including high-risk antepartum and hypertensive patients delivering as early as 23 weeks gestation
Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 close to delivery and 1:2 otherwise, with 1:4 couplet ratios on postpartum as needed
Perform C-section scrub, circulator, and recovery roles within the L&D operating rooms
Utilize Obix fetal monitoring system and Cerner EMR for patient documentation and fetal surveillance
Collaborate with perinatology support staff and coordinate transfers for patients with known cardiac abnormalities or conditions beyond unit scope
Fulfill weekend requirements of 4 shifts per 4-week period and holiday obligations including one major and one minor holiday
Required Qualifications
Active RN licensure
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
C-section experience required, including scrub, circulator, and recovery roles
Current BLS, NRP, ACLS, and Advanced AWHONN certifications
Proficiency with Cerner EMR and Obix fetal monitoring
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior travel nursing experience preferred
Experience with high-risk obstetric patients including antepartum and hypertensive diagnoses
NICU feeder/grower background beneficial for potential float opportunities
