Rehab Therapy - PTA

Physical Therapist AssistantWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide rehabilitative care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will implement treatment plans, assist patients in restoring mobility, improving functional abilities, reducing pain, and achieving rehabilitation goals.Key Responsibilities:Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance training, transfer training, and mobility interventions.Assist patients in improving strength, flexibility, endurance, coordination, and functional independence.Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, mobility techniques, and injury prevention.Instruct patients on the safe use of assistive devices, prosthetics, orthotics, and adaptive equipment.Maintain accurate treatment documentation, progress notes, and patient records in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals.Assist with discharge planning and continuity of patient care.Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.Required Qualifications:Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of practice.Current BLS certification required.Minimum 1 year of recent Physical Therapist Assistant experience preferred.Strong knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, therapeutic exercise, patient mobility, and functional restoration.Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient therapy, skilled nursing facilities (SNF), home health, or long-term care settings.Previous travel or contract therapy experience preferred.Experience treating orthopedic, neurological, geriatric, post-surgical, and medically complex patients.Strong teamwork, adaptability, and ability to work in a fast-paced rehabilitation environment.Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
